　　　Dear The Space Tourism Society Japan officers and members. On behalf of the Space Tourism Society America (STS), I want to congratulate you of forming your society and your good and important work.
　　　The space tourism industry is growing and will become the industry off-world. Working together, we can have a positive and meaningful influence on making the industry successful. Japan’s pioneering work in robotics and new technologies will be of great importance for safe and profitable operations in Earth orbit and beyond.
　　　We also have much work to do on Earth to educate and excite people around the world to see the future in a positive view and to contribute their talents and resources to the peaceful development of space for all humankind.
　　　So, welcome to the quest of space tourism. We, the Space Tourism Society, are looking forward to working with you soon as our international partner.

　　　1990年代にＩＴ・コンピュータ技術は飛躍的な発展を遂げ、2000年代にはライフサイエンス及びナノテクノロジーが次の技術革新をもたらすとされています。私は更に2010年代には、現在特にアメリカの民間チームを中心に開発が進められている安全で手ごろな宇宙輸送手段の出現が「宇宙旅行」という新たな産業を生み出し、多くの人が宇宙に行くことによって人々の生活と世界観を大きく変えていくだろうと考えています。その時代の主役を担うのは現在の青少年達です。
　　　しかし、残念ながら、現在日本では長引く不況により輝かしい未来を語れる土壌が失われ、子供たちの理工系離れも進んでいます。それは将来の日本にとって大変大きな損失です。私はあえてこの不況下に宇宙旅行という、人々が夢を存分に語れる土壌を提供したいと考えます。そして、宇宙旅行開発の本場アメリカとの様々な人材交流やイベント交流を通じて人々、特に次代を担う青少年たちに宇宙旅行の現状と限りない将来性について肌で感じてもらいたいと考えております。
　　　本協会の活動には皆様方の積極的なご協力が欠かせません。様々なユニークなご意見やご提案を心よりお待ちしております。そして10年、20年という長期的視野に立って、各国組織との協力により最終的に夢のある未来宇宙社会作りに貢献していければ、と考えています。

1983-90 スペースシャトル実験モジュール、海中実
験室、南極基地など極限環境施設の設計
1991 北九州スペースワールド概念設計
1995 宇宙モジュール設計に関しNASAより表彰
1996 The Space Tourism Society設立
2002 Brutus誌5月15日号で取材
2003-Red Planet Ventures開発計画最高責任者

2001〜2005 ロサンゼルスにて航空機エンジニア
