The Space Tourism Society Japan (STSJ) is a not-for-profit organization, registered with the Japanese Government since 2004. The primary objective of the society is to introduce exciting space tourism activities thoughout the world, especially in the United States, to young and promising Japanese people and cheer them up to join the aerospace industry. To achieve our goal, we host "The Los Angeles Space Tourism Tour" once or twice a year, and visit various exciting space hot-spots such as Mojave Spaceport, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Space X headquarters, XPRIZE foundation headquarters, UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles), California Science Center, and so on for a week each time. We also have a space seminer in Tokyo, Japan every year, and introduce tour activities to the audience. In the seminar, we also invite a space expert each time and introduce the latest and exciting space programs in Japan. In addition to the above activities, we keep people updated on space topics at this website every week and summarize the contents as a thick newsletter for our members in every half a year.

As of May, 2009, we hosted "Space Seminar in Tokyo" nine times and "Los Angeles Space Tourism Tour" nine times already. Through these activities, our Japanese members not only learned more about space programs but also had unique experiences networking with people in the Los Angeles area. Due to our international activities, we were awarded an “Orbit Award” at the 25th International Space Development Conference in 2006.

Our activities are basically designed for our Japanese members, but it does not preclude any offers from people outside of Japan at all. If you have any good ideas for working with us, you are welcome to contact me anytime. My contact is saotome.dummy@naa.att.ne.jp (please remove .dummy. Also notice that we cannot answer all the questions due to our limited man power).

Thank you very much!
